Your Night Out will be Purposeful

Meet Our 2024 Student of the Year, Boniface Makhoyo and his mum, Lucy.

Boniface is from a very poor family. His mother Lucy, looks for domestic services work every day and has had to take Boniface with her until now.

Her husband, who was working as a sweeper in the market of Nsanama, had a mental breakdown and left the family because he had been exploited by his employer and not paid for years and he could not support his family anymore.   Unfortunately, he got sick and passed on in October.

Boniface is her last born. The Sisters heard her story at a church meeting and invited him to the kindergarten. He is very happy in school, learning a lot, interacting with others, joyful, and with a bit of food every day.

The mother too is very grateful for the chance given to Boniface to be at Bakhita Kindergarten. She is relieved from having to take him with her; she can freely go searching for work knowing Boni is in a safe place where he is loved and cared for.

With a lot of gratitude to God and Project Kindy for this opportunity.

From the Sisters in Nsanama, Malawi.

With thanks to our Sponsor
