Other Ways to Give Smarter

other ways to give smarter to charity in australia and take advantage of significant tax benefits for giving to charity for Project Kindy

You exponentially increase the capacity of the community-run kindergartens project in Malawi when you give a gift to Project Kindy Inc. in your will or from your private or public ancillary fund or from your gift of assets.  You leverage tax benefits of charitable giving which reduces the burden on your cashflow but still maximises the impact for the charity.

At Project Kindy Inc, your gift fundamentally changes our ability to help young children by building our 'Infinite Impact Fund'. This is our strategy to build the long term development of community-led kindergartens in the Machinga District. Together, we will save and change many children’s lives for a very long time.

We deeply appreciate our "Infinite Impact Givers" and love to have lunch with you or your representative.  We will report the change you've made with videos and photos of the children.  Also, you or your representative are invited to meet your beneficiaries in person on a "Malawi Visit" organised by the Project Kindy team.

1) Private (PAFs) and Public (PuAFs) Ancillary Funds

PAFs and PuAFs maximise your charitable impact by creating your own structured charitable fund that leverages income tax deductions and the power of long term investment.  Your private or public ancillary fund donates a minimum of 5% of the fund to registered DGR charities annually and the rest of the fund continues to grow with interest.  A private or public ancillary fund stretches your original donation a lot further, delivers significant tax savings, reduces burden on cashflow and keeps you in control of your funds and assets.

It deepens your family's or your company's commitment to and appreciation of giving to those less fortunate and becomes a significant legacy fund that others can continue perhaps even for generations.  It requires professional set up and reporting but the fees involved are far outweighed by the tax benefits and maximised charitable gifts.  A PAF or PuAF can be a very smart way to achieve the goal of maximum charitable giving with significant tax benefits as a strategic part of your overall financial plan.

2) Give a Gift in Your Will

You can make a very significant impact to children in need by giving a gift to Project Kindy Inc. in your will.  If empowering others who are less fortunate is an important part of your life, this is a powerful strategy to . It can be a very smart part of your overall financial strategy to provide much needed future security to the charity funds and release you of the burden of giving to the poor out of your income or savings when you need cashflow.

We can assure you that our long term financial security is a very big priority for us and we would deeply appreciate knowing you are in our corner in years to come.  If you choose to give a gift to Project Kindy Inc in your will, you would commit to making an infinite impact on extremely poor children and their communities through village-based kindergartens.  You would contribute to the permanent provision of funds so the work of saving and changing lives of very vulnerable children continues for a very long time.

Your Will is a legal document where you design how your estate will bless your chosen loved ones and loved causes.  Your estate includes your home, superannuation, savings, investments and possessions and they all become incredible gifts to bless others. It is a straightforward process to give a gift in your will to charity with the only requirements being that it's formatted properly with accurate details, witnessed and stored properly.

If you already have your will sorted, you could add your charitable gift to it by creating a codicil, which is a legal document that makes a small amendment to your will and is then attached.  A codicil still needs to be witnessed, formatted and dated properly, like your will does, and legal advice is recommended to make sure it aligns in reality with your intentions.  The below links are not affiliated in any way, we found them to be reputable starting points.

Our First Infinite Impact Givers

Our first "Infinite Impact Giver", Joan Gill, forever changed our capacity to save and change children's lives because she empowered us to launch our Infinite Impact Fund in 2025.  Joan instructed that her private charitable fund, the M F Gill Fund (named in honour of her sister), was to benefit children in poverty. We are deeply honoured that her fund's manager chose our kindergarten projects to be one of Joan's channels to achieve this and grateful for her infinite impact.

Another Project Kindy "Infinite Impact Giver", Geoff Booth, instructed that his private charitable foundation would benefit children in poverty overseas, especially those with disabilities.  The Geoff Booth Foundation's annual major donation has fundamentally changed our charity's capacity to empower the Malawi communities through village kindergartens.

To create a private charitable fund, give a gift in your will or give a charitable gift from your wealth in another way, please see your solicitor and financial advisor.  Email Donna Power to find out how Project Kindy can be your powerful permanent instrument to save and change children’s lives.  She’d love to hear from you!
